The news today of the passing of the legendary broadcaster Sir Michael Parkinson is sad indeed. Sir Michael was our Club President in 1990 and came to the ground on many occasions bringing in one year his World X1 to play at the Scarborough Cricket Festival. He was a committed Yorkshire cricket fan.
Our sincere condolences to his wife Mary and all his family.
